A leader 4 is held in this excavating equipment body 1 and a lifter 5 for excavation is supported to be vertically movable. The leader 4 is divided into three, the lower leader 4a, the middle leader 4b, and the upper leader 4c which can be mutually connected. A thinner and longer hollow support than the lower leader 4a is erected in the lower leader and inserted in the middle leader 4b and the upper leader 4c so as to slide. And the middle leader 45 is formed so as to fit to the support or remove from it and an extensible or contractible drive device for lifting the upper leader is inserted in the support and the lower end thereof is connected to the support side and the upper end thereof is connected to the upper leader side respectively.
