To realize the improvement in work efficiency, certainty of work and reduction in work cost, in an excavator using a down-the-hole hammer.
This excavator has an auger 3 suspended and supported by a work machine 1 and the down-the-hole hammer 5, and supplies a confluent material to the down-the-hole hammer 6 side by a supply hose 23 by merging compressed air from a compressor device 11 with fluid from a fluid supply device 13, and is constituted for remotely operating both a first motor-operated opening-closing valve 18 and a second motor-operated opening-closing valve 19, by providing the first motor-operated opening-closing valve 18 opening-closing a supply pipe 16A of the compressed air and the second motor-operated opening-closing valve 19 opening-closing a supply pipe 16B of spray water, in a confluent part 16 for merging the compressed air with the spray water. Such a constitution can secure precision of work, for example, by allowing an operator getting into an operator cab 10 of the work machine 1 to perform remote operation of the respective motor-operated opening-closing valves 18 and 19, and can improve work efficiency and operability without requiring an operator to frequently move in work.
