Abstract:
To provide a shovel which can more surely secure safety of an operator in the surrounding.SOLUTION: A shovel of an embodiment according to the invention includes a lower traveling body 61, an upper revolving body 63 revolvably mounted on the lower traveling body 61, and an excavation attachment E provided on a front central portion of the upper revolving body 63. The shovel has person detection means which is provided on the shovel for detecting an obstruction in a predetermined range around the shovel, and determination means which is mounted on the shovel for determining whether or not the detection means detects an obstruction. The determination means determines whether or not the detection means detects an obstruction both in a state in which when a hydraulic circuit is cut off by a valve, and in a state in which the hydraulic circuit is communicated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
