To provide an exercise apparatus with which arms and shoulders can be shaped up without getting bored even when using the apparatus for a long period, which has simple structure and which is carried simply.

The exercise apparatus consists of: a hollow and annular main body 10; a ball 3 which is sealed in the main body 10 and moves freely inside; and a gripping part 2 connected with the main body 10. A user holds a grip 20 and moves the arm vertically or to the right and left or so as to draw a circle so that the ball 3 may rotate along the inside of the main body 10. The user moves the arm rhythmically according to the cycle of the rotation of the ball to swing the main body 10 to energize the ball 3 to keep the rotation of the ball 3. The arms and shoulders can effectively be shaped up by the action of this exercise.
