Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve and stabilize the accuracy of application in slide bead application by a slide hopper coating machine by forming the constituting material of a reduced pressure chamber of the same material as the material of a slide hopper body.
CONSTITUTION: The constituting materials of a stand 11 supporting a slide hopper body 2 and the reduced pressure chamber 3 are formed of the same material as the constituting material of the slide hopper body 2. A heat insulating piping 10 is formed in the slide hopper body 2 and a stand heat insulating piping 12 in the stand 11, respectively, to maintain the temp. of the coating liquid through heat insulating water kept at, for example, about 38°C. The coeffts. of linear expansion of the slide hopper body 2 and the reduced pressure chamber 3 are unified in this constitution and the change in the bead spacings in long-sized application of a long period of time is suppressed. The generation of stripe is thus prevented.
