Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas extraction port on an exhaust pipe so as to obtain a correct analysis result by opening the exhaust gas extraction port between catalyst and a cooling water discharge part, in an exhaust pipe in which cooling water cooling an exhaust pipe interposed with catalyst is discharged on the way of the exhaust pipe on the downstream side of the catalyst.
SOLUTION: The exhaust device of an engine 8 constituting the water jet propeller of a surface traveling boat 1 is constituted of an exhaust manifold 13, an exhaust chamber 14, an exhaust pipe 16, and the like, respectively constructed into double tube construction, and catalyst 20 is arranged inside the connecting part between the exhaust chamber 14 and the exhaust pipe 16. Engine cooling water is let flow in the space of the exhaust device, and discharged from the rear end of the exhaust pipe 16 into an exhaust passage. In such an exhaust device, an exhaust gas extraction port 25 is arranged on the downstream side of a temperature sensor 21 for exhaust gas, on the upper stream side of a cooling water outlet, and over the center line of the exhaust passage, and hence the exhaust gas can be correctly analyzed.
