Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a diesel particulate filter (a DPF) when regenerating the DPF.
SOLUTION: The differential pressure ΔP (=Pin-Pout) is calculated from the DPF upstream side exhaust pressure Pin and the DPF downstream side exhaust pressure Pout, and the particulate matter(PM) deposition of the DPF is calculated by referring to a map (S201 to S204). Whether or not the timing reaches the DPF regeneration timing is determined (S205). If the timing reaches the DPF regeneration timing, it is determined whether or not the PM deposition is not less than the predetermined value (S206). If the PM deposition is not less than the predetermined value, a bypass passage branched from the upstream side of a turbine of a turbocharger and connected to the DPF upstream side is partly opened, and fully opened after the predetermined time is elapsed (S207). On the other hand, if the PM deposition is below the predetermined value, the bypass passage is fully opened (S208).
