Title:
EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE FOR HYBRID VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009281254
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To effectively inhibit deterioration of emission during engine start of a hybrid vehicle.

In the hybrid vehicle 10 which is a plug-in hybrid vehicle provided with a three-way catalyst 900 and a heat accumulation EHC 400 provided with a heat accumulating body 440 in an exhaust gas route of an engine 200, ECU 100 executes battery charge control. In such a control, a battery 600 is charged if electric power supply from an external power source 20 via a charge plug 700 exists, and electricity supply to the heat accumulation EHC 400 is started after completion of the charge. Although heater 430 generates heat by electricity supply, heat generated by this heat generation is accumulated by the heat accumulating body 440, and is used for heat supply to the three way catalyst 420. The ECU 100 completes electricity supply to the heat accumulation EHC 400 if heat accumulating body temperature Tc1 is not less than a reference value Tc1th specified as a value at which heat supply to the three way catalyst 420 can be sufficiently done.
