Abstract:
To accurately diagnose deterioration of a catalyst even when a bed temperature of the selective reduction type catalyst changes.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device is provided that has a selective reduction type catalyst for reducing nitrogen oxide in an exhaust air using ammonia as a reducer. In the exhaust emission control device, the reducer in an amount more than that of the reducer to be supplied to the selective reduction type catalyst for the purpose of the reduction of nitrogen oxide in the exhaust air, is supplied to the selective reduction-type catalyst, and deterioration of the selective reduction type catalyst is diagnosed on the basis of detected ammonia concentration. In the deterioration diagnosis, an estimated value of a bed temperature of the selective reduction-type catalyst during performing of the deterioration diagnosis is calculated, and the supply amount of the reducer supplied in performing of the deterioration diagnosis of the selective reduction type catalyst is determined on the basis of the estimated value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
