Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable stable introducing of secondary air and heating of a catalyst to be simultaneously performed without increasing the discharging amount of a battery.
CONSTITUTION: When an internal combustion engine 1 is started, an output terminal A of a generator 10 and a first contact 51 of a switching relay 50 are electrically connected to each other by an output switching circuit 33, and the output terminal A of the generator 10 and a second contact 52 are electrically put in disconnection. As a result, since output current of the generator 10 is supplied to an electric motor 8 of a secondary air introducing device 6 and a heating element 3 of a catalytic converter 4 in starting, power of a battery 20 is consumed only by a plurality of electric loads 22, 23,..., but is not consumed by the electric motor 8 or the heating element 3.
