Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the unstable combustion of an engine at a time of start or end of catalyst regeneration.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control system comprises: a NOx reduction catalyst 32 provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine; an intake air quantity sensor 40; and a control unit 50 executing a regeneration treatment for switching exhaust gas from a lean state to a rich state by using both an air control to reduce a quantity of intake air and an injection control to increase a fuel injection quantity, and the control unit 50 changes at least one of fuel injection timing and the fuel injection quantity of the internal combustion engine 10 in response to a detection value of the intake air quantity sensor 40 in at least one of a period of starting the regeneration treatment and switching the lean state to the rich state and a period of ending the regeneration treatment and switching the rich state to the lean state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
