PURPOSE: To prevent an electrical equipment chamber from being filled with vapor just after the end of rice cooking by controlling the drive of an exhaust fan of the electrical equipment chamber during the period of a fixed time after the end of rice cooking in a rice cooking pot.
CONSTITUTION: While a rice cooking pot after rice is washed and cooked is removed from a rice washing vessel 5 and the lower position of a hopper case 2 or the like, an exhaust fan is forced to continue rotation by turning on the switch of a fan motor to discharge air in an electrical equipment chamber 4 from an opening 37, so that moisture can be kept from staying in the electrical equipment chamber 4. That is, in a hopper case 2 surrounding a rice hopper 1, the exhaust fan 7 is driven by the motor from the start of washing rice in the rice washing vessel 5, and the drive of the exhaust fan is continued during a fixed time also after the end of rice cooking, to say nothing of the period extending from rice washing to rice cooking. During the period of time until the rice cooking pot is removed from the lower side of the rice washing vessel 5, even if the hopper case 2 receives a large quantity of vapor generated, the quantity of vapor and hot air staying in the electric equipment chamber 4 can be reduced so as to heighten a moistureproof effect.
