Title:
EXHAUST GAS COOLING METHOD AND ITS DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3854477
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing cooled water or dust from adhering to the inwall face of a cooling tower or a duct, in the case of lowering the temperature of exhaust gas by the atomizing of cooling water.
SOLUTION: In this exhaust gas cooling method, the temperature of cooling water is controlled within a range of 55-65°C, and the temperature of the exhaust gas is lowered while atomizing this warm water into the exhaust gas thereby evaporating the cooling water quickly. Since the warm water is atomized, the time of evaporation within the cooling tower can be shortened, and since it is evaporated before the waterdrop containing dust adhere to a wall face, it becomes hard for the dust to adhere to the wall face, so this can enhance the durability of an exhaust gas cooling system. Moreover, it is possible to mix water and an alkaline agent into slurry form, and adjust the temperature of this slurry to 55-65°C, atomize the temperature-adjusted slurry into exhaust gas as a cooling agent, lower the temperature of exhaust gas by the quick evaporation of the moisture, and neutralize the exhaust gas components simultaneously by the alkaline agent.
