Abstract:
To provide an exhaust gas denitration method for satisfactorily continuing denitration of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas.
An exhaust pipe 13 for exhausting exhaust gas 12 emitted from an internal combustion engine 11 is provided with a reducing agent feeding means 15 for feeding ammonia water or ammonia reducing agent 14 such as a urea, and a vanadium denitration catalyst 16. The ammonia reducing agent 14 is sprayed into the exhaust gas 12 to be reacted with NOx and NH3 in the exhaust gas and reduced to N2. When a predetermined temperature in the exhaust gas is detected with a thermometer 20, the ammonia reducing agent feeding is stopped by closing a valve 21.
