Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purifying filter excellent in the particle material catching performance in the initial time of use, during the regeneration time and even immediately after the regeneration, and to provide an exhaust emission control device.SOLUTION: In this exhaust gas purifying filter provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine to catch particle materials contained in the exhaust gas, a main filter made of a non-silicon nitride material and a sub-filter made of a silicone nitride material are disposed in series to each other. The sub-filter made of the silicone nitride material is disposed on a downstream side of the main filter made of the non-silicon nitride material along a direction, in which the exhaust gas flows. This exhaust gas purifying filter is included in the exhaust emission control device.
