To provide an exhaust gas recirculation volume control device equalizing emission amounts of exhaust of both banks in an engine including intake passages and exhaust passages formed separately for each bank and an EGR device or the like provided separately for the respective banks.
The exhaust gas recirculation volume control device controls an exhaust gas recirculation volumes of the engine provided with the first bank and second bank, and the intake passages, exhaust passages, and exhaust gas recirculation passages separately formed for the respective banks. When a first exhaust gas recirculation volume flowing the first exhaust gas recirculation passage provided on the first bank, and a second exhaust gas recirculation volume flowing the second exhaust gas recirculation passage provided on the second bank are different, the exhaust gas recirculation volume control means controls the first exhaust gas recirculation volume or the second exhaust gas recirculation volume so that the first exhaust gas recirculation volume and the second exhaust gas recirculation volume become equivalent (steps S5, S6).
