Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating an exhaust gas in which the power loss for backward washing is minimal and no inactive gas is needed even if a heat decomposition furnace is used. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas generated from a furnace 1 which incinerates or heat decomposes a waste is dust-collected with a high temperature dust collector 6 provided with a heatresisting filtration element. Simultaneously, a superheated steam is introduced to the high temperature dust collector 6 to backward wash the heat-resisting filtration element when its filtration resistance is increased. The superheated steam, for example, may be a part of those obtained by heat recovering in a waste heat boiler 7 or those after emitted from a steam turbine.
