Abstract:
PURPOSE: To uniformly cool the whole outer circumferential surface of a centralized part while the radiation heat generated from an exhaust manifold is blocked.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust heat insulator 3 consists of a face side heat insulator 4 to cover the face side of an exhaust manifold 2 and a back side heat insulator 5 to cover the back side of the exhaust manifold 2. The running wind is fed to the face side of the exhaust manifold 2 through a first distribution air intake port 6 formed on the face side heat insulator 4 on one side while it is fed to the back side of the exhaust manifold 2 through a pair of second distribution air intake ports 8a, 8b formed on each side of the exhaust manifold 2 on the other hand.
