Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a torque in a low and medium speed operation area without reducing an output in a high speed operation area and secure warm-up capability of a catalyst arranged on an exhaust passage with advantage.
SOLUTION: In an engine, a dual part is formed by collecting exhaust pipes 8 to obtain two exhaust pipes 9 at a branch portion respectively connected to cylinders of an engine body 7. Two exhaust pipes 9 are collected to one exhaust pipe 10. Length D of the dual part is set suitably for high speed operation area. Sub-pipes 13 longer than the length D of the dual part are connected to the exhaust pipes 9 at the dual part.
