To provide an exhaust recirculation device of an internal combustion engine capable of reducing variations of a temperature difference between EGR gas and air supplied into a cylinder and inhibiting combustion deterioration.
The exhaust recirculation device 16 is applied to the internal combustion engine 1 provided with two intake ports 8, 9 for a cylinder 2 and can supply a part of exhaust gas taken out from an exhaust passage 7 of the internal combustion engine 1 as the EGR gas into the cylinder 2 via only the intake port 9. Temperature of the EGR gas is regulated by injecting fuel from a fuel addition valve 20 provided in an exhaust recirculation passage 17 so that the temperature of the EGR gas supplied to the cylinder through the intake port 9 reaches a target temperature set based on temperature of air supplied to the cylinder 2 though the intake port 8.
