Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve purification performance without lowering engine output by installing a plural number of catalyst exhaust plates on the inner surface of an exhaust cover in layers at required intervals between each other and supporting a catalyst on the surface part of these catalyst exhaust plates. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust cover 12 is joined to the side of an exhaust port of a cylinder 10 and an exhaust manifold 13 is formed. A plural number of catalyst exhaust plates 15 with a shape near to the exhaust port 11 as close as possible are installed on the inner surface of the exhaust cover 12 in layers with required intervals between each other. A catalyst is supported on a surface part 15a of these catalyst exhaust plates. Exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust port 11 flows through the surface part 15a of the catalyst exhaust plates 15, and it is purified by making contact with the catalyst supported on the surface part 15a at this time.
