To simplify the reception and registration and also to attain the effective use of customer cards by reading the codes of invitation cards having the customer codes at an exhibit hall and issuing the customer cards including the customer codes and the visiting frequency.

A data processor 21 retrieves a customer information file 1A and produces a visitor list of an exhibition, and a data processor 22 produces an invitation card 8. A customer code including a bar code, etc., is outputted to the address column of the card 8 together with the address and name of an invited guest. A person in charge of reception inputs the customer code printed on the card 8 to a data processor 25. The processor 25 retrieves the customer name and the past visiting frequency based on the customer code and transfers these information to a card reader/writer 7. The reader/writer 7 writes the customer information into a magnetic recording layer of a blank customer card 10 and also prints the information on the gift service, etc., if the visiting frequency is more than a prescribed level.
