PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely inform the existing pedestrians to a driver even when the walker 3 exists near a vehicle 4, by utilizing a signal 5 transmitted from a conventional radar device 2.
SOLUTION: A predetermined search signal 5 transmitted from the vehicle 4 is received by a receiving means 6, and its receiving level is detected by a receiving level detecting means 7. An informing signal outputting means 10 transmits an informing signal in the predetermined direction in a case when the receiving level of the search signal is above a predetermined level, and informs the existence of the walker 3 to the vehicle 4. A control means 8 allows the informing signal outputting means 10 to continuously transmit the informing signal for a predetermined time when the receiving level of the search signal 5 becomes less than an undetectable threshold value level from a level more than the predetermined level. Therefore the existence of walker informing device continuous the transmission of the informing signal to inform the driver of the vehicle of the existence of the walker, when the vehicle 4 approaches the walker 3 walking ahead, and the search signal 5 is not received by the existence of walker informing device because of a narrow radiation angle of the radar device 2.
