Title:
EXPANDABLE RUBBER-MODIFIED STYRENIC RESIN PARTICLE AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3647611
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide expandable rubber-modified styrenic resin particles that can give a foam excellent in impact resistance and flexibility in a shortened molding cycle of foams and to provide a process for producing them.
SOLUTION: This is a rubber-modified styrenic resin particle comprising 100 pts.wt. styrene resin, 5-20 pts.wt. butadiene polymer having a 1,4-cis structure content of 70% or above and 0.05-5.0 pts.wt. thermoplastic block copolymer comprising a vinylaromatic hydrocarbon and a conjugated diene, wherein a disperse phase of the butadiene polymer and a disperse phase of the thermoplastic block copolymer are dispersed in the form of particles in the styrene resin as a continuous phase, and a volatile blowing agent having a boiling point of 80°C or below is contained in an amount of 1-15 wt.%.
