To provide a highly reliable and highly efficient refrigerating cycle device by realizing the excellent circulation of a lubricating oil in a hermetic expander.
A hermetic container 115 has, therein, an expansion mechanism 113; a generator 313 installed under the expansion mechanism 113; a shaft 307 for transmitting the rotation of the expansion mechanism 113 to the generator 313; a main bearing 303 and an auxiliary bearing 310 pivotally supporting the shaft 307; a lubricating oil sump 312 formed at the bottom of the hermetic container 115; a lubricating oil pump 311 for supplying the lubricating oil in the lubricating oil sump 312 to the sliding portions of the expansion mechanism 113 through an oil supply path 307c formed in the shaft 307; a shielding body 315 for shielding the swirl flow generated by the rotation of a rotor 313b; and a lubricating oil passage 303a for guiding the oil after passing through the sliding portions of the expansion mechanism 113 into the space in which the swirl flow generated by the rotor 313b is shielded. Since a refrigerant and the lubricating oil are prevented from being agitated by the swirl flow, the lubricating oil can be quickly returned into the lubricating oil sump 312.
