Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe expanding apparatus for an electric-resistance weld pipe which does not occur breakage of the pipe and has a low cost and a short processing time.SOLUTION: A clamp die 2 has a stationery part 11 which is brought into contact with a middle part from one side of an electric-resistance weld pipe 10 and fixes the electric-resistance weld pipe 10, and a non-stationery part 12 which is not brought into contact with the electric-resistance weld pipe 10 and forms a clearance S1 between itself and an outer peripheral surface of the pipe in a circumferential direction. First to third punch dies 5A to 5C have molding surface parts 51b to 53b of which each diameter is gradually increased as approaching an opposite side in an insertion direction thereof for electric-resistance weld pipe 10. A flat surface part 51f, which is extended along an insertion direction of the first punch die 5A, is formed on a bead part 10a in the molding surface part 51b of the first punch die 5A and at a position corresponding to a periphery of the bead part 10a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
