Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of sufficiently coping with the displacement in the lateral direction and in the longitudinal direction with a pair of skeletons.
SOLUTION: This expansion joint device is provided with a joint main body 4 extended between a pair of buildings 10, 12, a moving cover 6 covering the joint main body 4, and a decorative cover 8 covering the moving cover 6 and the joint main body 4. One end section of the joint main body 4 is fitted to one building 10, and the other end section is supported on the other building 12 movably in the lateral direction and in the longitudinal direction perpendicular to the lateral direction. The moving cover 6 is fitted to the other building 12 movably in the prescribed direction and is connected to the joint main body 4 relatively movably in the longitudinal direction, and the decorative cover 8 is fitted to one building 10 and is overlapped on one end section of the moving cover 6.
