Abstract:

To obtain a expellant for gastropods which exhibits sufficient effect on the etermination of a gastropod, e.g. a slug or a snail.

This expellant for gastropods features including, as an active ingredient, a perfume component exhibiting mucus-shedding inhibitory effect that makes gastropods impossible to shed mucus. It is favorable that the above perfume component includes one or more kinds selected from L-carvone, anise alcohol, anisaldehyde, nerol, dimethyl hydroquinone, cinnamaldehyde, 3- phenylpropyl alcohol, citral, citronellal, eugenol, L-menthol, anethole, d-camphor or cinnamyl alcohol.
