Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a small explosion generator with a plasma discharge tube made of materials resistant to a plasma flow, in which a generator part amplifies a current in a way that a magnetic field of pulse current in the plasma flow is produced by exploding an explosive and condensed with another explosive force mechanically.
CONSTITUTION: A field generated by a pair of electrodes 6A and 6B is applied to a plasma flow 5 produced by exploding an explosive 3 with a triggering device 4 to produce a pulse current. An explosive 30 is exploded with a triggering device 40 so that the field that generates the pulse current is compressed mechanically. Then, the current is amplified by second generator parts 50, each made up of an armature 31 and a stator 32, and the power is supplied to a load 8. These second generator parts 50 are provided radially around a plasma discharge tube 160 of the plasma flow 5. The plasma discharge tube 160 is made of non-magnetic material like stainless steel that is resistant to the plasma flow. Consequently, the second generator part 50 can be put nearer to the discharge tube 160 and the system can be made small.
