Abstract:
To provide a new method of fabricating a higher-performance and/or less expensive extensible laminate and also provide a new absorbent article comprising such an extensible laminate.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes: a chassis comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and at least one elastically elongatable panel joined to the chassis. The elastically elongatable panel includes an extensible laminate that has at least one cover layer 24, 26, an elastomeric film 22 attached to the cover layer 24, 26, the elastomeric film 22 having two surfaces and a skin on at least one of the surfaces. The extensible laminate has at least one anchoring zone and at least one extensible zone, and the skin that is located in the anchoring zone has a plurality of wrinkles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
