Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a lightweight and precisely controllable extensible and retractable handling device with a long moving stroke.
CONSTITUTION: This extensible and retractable device for handling an object, particularly, a plurality of bobbins of wound material strips, comprises at least one telescopic extendable and retractable member 10 having a plurality of telescopic cylinders 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and capable of transmitting at least a partial force to the telescopic cylinders by a tension member 20 for contracting the telescopic cylinders. The tension member 20 having an opened end is guided on the telescopic cylinders, particularly, on a deflection member or deflection wheel 23 arranged at the free end of a piston rod 15, and a tensile force is transmitted to at least one end of the tension member 20 for retracting the telescopic cylinder.
