Abstract:
To provide a help system providing extended help information.
A control panel 10 equipped with an imaging apparatus having an extended help function is provided with three locker type switches corresponding to a menu select switch 11, an item select switch 12 and a value select switch 13, a job cancel push button 15, and a go switch 16. The item select switch 12 has a help switch function, for example, and a help message is displayed by pushing the item select switch 12 when a specific alarm or an error message is displayed on a display 17. A user can scroll a long message, as required, by pushing the opposite end parts of the item select switch 12. The help mode ends upon pushing the go switch 16.
