Abstract:
To provide an external pressure type hollow fiber membrane module which has high durability, is excellent in uniformity of pressure distribution and speed distribution of a fluid passing inside, and high in production efficiency.SOLUTION: An external pressure type hollow fiber membrane module includes: a hollow fiber membrane bundle bundling a plurality of hollow fiber membranes where one end part is closed and the other end part is opened; a housing which is a cylindrical body having at least one nozzle on a lateral surface and houses the hollow fiber membrane bundle so that the closed end of the hollow fiber membranes and the open end of the hollow fiber membranes face both end sides in a longitudinal direction of the cylindrical body respectively; a first adhesion fixation part which adheres and fixes the hollow fiber membranes, and the hollow fiber membrane bundle and a housing inner wall on the open end side of the hollow fiber membranes; and a second adhesion fixation part which adheres and fixes the hollow fiber membranes, and the fiber membrane bundle and the housing inner wall at the closed end part side of the hollow fiber membranes and has at least one open hole parallel to the housing longitudinal direction on an outer periphery of the hollow fiber membrane bundles. An outer end surface of the second adhesion fixation part and an end surface (a closed end surface) on a closed end of the hollow fiber membrane are separate, and a spacer is buried between an outer end surface of the second adhesion fixation part and an end surface (a closed end surface) on the closed end side of the hollow fiber membranes.SELECTED DRAWING: None
