Abstract:
To provide an electric machine having particularly increased possible rotation rates and/or a simplified structure for an externally excited electric machine.SOLUTION: An externally excited electric machine 1, in particular an externally excited synchronous motor 3, comprises a stator 6 and a rotor 4. The rotor is rotatable relative to the stator about a rotation axis 7 extending in an axial direction 5. A brushless transmission of an electric current to the rotor via a primary winding 9 axially guided through a hollow cylindrical core 8 of the rotor and a secondary winding 10 wound around the core 8 causes a simplified structure of the electric machine and an increased rotation rate. Furthermore, this invention relates to a usage of the electric machine in a vehicle, and the vehicle provided with such the electric machine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
