Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fatty acid, at a high efficeincy by a simple process without causing the modification by air oxidation, from a crude lipid which is obtd. from a natural lipid material through steps of crushing, compressing, solvent extraction, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The method (1) is provided wherein a lipid obtd. from a natural lipid material is hydrolyzed in a supercritical fluid at high temp. and pressure and then a fatty acid is extracted from the resulting hydrolysis fluid. The method (2) is provided wherein the hydrolysis in method 1 is conducted in a supercritical carbon dioxide fluid at 100-300°C under a pressure of 75-300kg/cm2. And the method (3) is provided wherein a supercritical carbon dioxide fluid is flowed into the hydrolysis fluid in method 1 at 31-200°C under a pressure of 80-400kg/cm2.
