Abstract:

To obtain 2-phenylethanol greatly widely used in the industrial worlds of agricaltural processed foods, cosmetics and perfumes by extracting it from a distillation residue obtained during the production of alcohol.

This 2-phenylethanol is extracted from distillation residues obtained during the production of alcohol. The 2-phenylethanol is preferably extracted from the second distillation residues obtained during the production of the alcohol by the second distillation. The extraction of the 2-phenylethanol is preferably carried out before a process for clearing the residues. The residues are preferably cleared by a tangential microfiltration. The 2-phenylethanol is preferably extracted with an adsorbing column.
