PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus capable of extracting the maximum amount of organism cells with a limited amount of an extracting liquid comprising a specific container, a notch forming means and a means for locating a pipet at the center.

CONSTITUTION: A container having supporting leg parts 12, 14 and 16 and a top 18 is provided with a hollow 20 having an inside 22. The hollow 20 holds an extracting liquid and its bottom 24 is installed at the opposite side of the supporting leg part 14. The expansion of the hollow 20 and its contents is restricted by the top 18. The bottom 26 of the hollow 20 is slightly inclined. The inside 22 is provided with a notch 30 in the hollow 20 so as to retain a swab S at a proper position. A center locating face 50 is laid at the inside 22 near the bottom 24 so as to position a pipet P at the center.
