To provide an method for extracting pyroligneous acid with little thermal alteration from a log of deforestation, and to provide facilities therefor.
A log is cut by a prescribed size, both ends are put out of a furnace, a central part is heated by wood combustion in a combustion chamber located therebelow, and pyroligneous acid is extracted from the both ends. Log materials are sequentially and continuously supplied into a furnace horizontally in parallel, and the material in which the central part disappears fall into the combustion chamber and becomes a fuel for superheat of the other materials. A continuous supply device is timer-driven by a walking beam system. In addition to cutting of the log, a hole is made in one end. A heating means is inserted into the hole, and the pyroligneous acid is extruded to the outside by internal heating.
