Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:(7S)-3,7-Dimethyl-10-(1-methylethylidene)-cyclodecane-1,8- dione-3,4-epoxide (oil) shown by the formula.
USE: An anti-inflammatory drug.
PREPARATION: Zedoariae Rhizoma of crude drug is exuded with an organic solvent, the extracted solution is concentrated to give essence, which is subjected to column chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography, fractioned and crystallized from an organic solvent, stirred with a water-soluble solution of NaHCO3 or m-chloroperbenzoic acid and an epoxidizing agent, separated and purified by liquid chromatography to give a compound shown by the formula.
