PURPOSE: To improve a manufacture yield by composing an equipment so that a cooling fan can blow cooling wind toward the base part side of an extruded material from an extrusion machine and its blowing direction is adjustable, and providing a cooling wind shut-off device so that a cooling action does not influence a die.

CONSTITUTION: The equipment is composed so that a cooling fan 2 can blow cooling wind toward the base part side of an extruded material E from an extrusion machine 1, and its blowing direction is adjustable. And, a cooling wind shut-off device 3 shutting off this cooling wind, is provided between a bolster 12 and an end platen 7 in a position near the base part side of the extruded material 1 and in a position where a cooling action does not influence a die 9 by this cooling wind at the time of blowing the cooling wind to the base part side of the extruded material. Consequently, when the extrusion machine 1 is stopped by any cause, a cooling effect influences widely on the base part side of the extruded material E, quality such as improved strength, etc., is improved.
