Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wear caused by cracks in a tip surface of an extrusion tool.
SOLUTION: A surface modified layer 7 is formed to increase the hardness compared with an inner side by a PVD method, a CVD method, etc., on a circumferential surface of a bearing part 5 of the extrusion tool to determine the diameter of a hole formed in a blank for forging and heading, and no surface modified layer is present in a tip surface relatively colliding with the blank.
