Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eyepiece optical system of good aberration performance which has a large finder magnification and has diopter regulating function by particularly making the spacing between an erecting system and an eye point position longer. SOLUTION: The eyepiece optical system for observing the image of an object through the erecting system 2 includes, successively from the object side, a first lens group having positive refracting power, a second lens group 4 having negative refracting power and a third lens group 5 having positive refracting power. At least one lens groups of the lens groups 3 and 5 having the positive refracting power satisfy the following condition equations: Dp>fe>0.1 (1). In the equation, Dp: the thickness of the lens groups having the positive refracting power, fe: the focal length of the eyepiece lens optical system when the diopter is -1.
