To provide an FRP cryostat capable of preventing the generation of vacuum leak caused by various stresses, wherein a metal member together with a flange member is fixed to a container wall of the FRP cryostat so as to penetrate the wall.
In an FRP cryostat, an integrally formed article (S1) is fixed to a container wall (W) of the FRP cryostat from an outer surface side of a flange member (F1) by fixing bolts screw-engaged with four or more non-through screw holes formed in the container wall (W), and a sealing structure is formed between the container wall (W) and an inner surface of the flange member (F1). The integrally formed article (S1) includes: the flange member (F1) having one surface facing the container wall (W); and a metal member (A) having a columnar outer shape, inserted in an insertion hole (H1) in the axial direction of the flange member (F1) to be fixed in a hermetically sealed state, and penetrating through a first straight hole formed in the container wall (W) and having a predetermined diameter. In the sealing structure, the container wall (W) and the inner surface of the flange member (F1) are joined via an FRP layer or an adhesive layer.
