To provide a method for producing a high-density woven fabric, capable of satisfying low air permeability, weaving property and productivity, e.g. as non-coat air pack base fabric.
This fabric in the present invention comprises a synthetic fiber filament yarn in which fineness of warp and weft is within the range of 100-1,000 denier and total cover factor(CF) represented by the following formula is ≥2,100 and the air permeability is within the range of ≤1.0 cc/cm3/sec. Total cover factor(CF)=CF1+CF2, wherein cover factor (CF1) of fabric in warp direction = square root of fineness (denier) of warp × woven fabric density (number/inch) in the warp direction and cover factor (CF2) of fabric in the weft direction = square root of fineness (denier) of weft × woven fabric density (number/inch). The such fabric is obtained by adopting a cum type loom as opening motion of heddle and weaving the warp and weft at 90-120° dwell angle (opening stop angle) of opening motion.
