Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric type identification device and a fabric type identification method that can stably and accurately identify fabric type.SOLUTION: A fabric type identification device A that identifies the type of a fabric F having a color yarn attached on its end part comprises a camera 51 for taking an image of the fabric F and an image processing device 52 to which the image taken by the camera 51 is input. The image processing device 52 obtains a color value of the color yarn T from the input image of the fabric F and identifies the type of the fabric F based on the color value. As the image processing device identifies the type of the fabric F based on the color of the color yarn T, the device can stably and accurately identify the type of the fabric F regardless stretching of the fabric F.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
