PURPOSE: To save anothers help and to improve the reliability of data by transmitting the data handwritten on a prescribed data sheet by a customer to a data processing system by means of a facsimile equipment, returning a confirmation sheet on which the result of character recognition is outputted, correcting erroneous characters and unreadable characters and storing defined data in a data file.
CONSTITUTION: When all the data on the data sheet and the character recognition has completed, the system edits the recognized characters stored in a data storage device 48, calls the facsimile equipment on the customer's side and transmits the edited characters, in a prescribed manner. The customer compares the returned confirmation sheet, which is the output of the facsimile receiving, with the data sheet in his hand that he transmitted, and checks whether or not the data sheet has been correctly inputted. When there is any unreadable character or erroneous character, rewrites it correctly and transmits again the data sheet marked with a re-transmission mark. The output processing system reads the prescribed code on the re-transmitted data sheet and transmits again the corrected data to the customer.
