To enable facsimile transmission/reception with a telephone card by describing a facsimile transmission sentence on the card, reading it by a public telephone set with scanner and performing facsimile transmission.

At the time of call incoming, image data sent through a telephone set 1 are received at a facsimile control part 3 and stored in a memory part 7. Corresponding to an instruction from an operating part 2, the image data in the memory part 7 are sent to a card reader/writer part 6, and those image data are stored in a memory cell or a storage medium inside a card 5 by the reader/writer part 6.
