PURPOSE: To execute transmission to a user, which is separated from a facsimile equipment, by registering the telephone number of an opponent side facsimile equipment and the telephone number of a transmitting destination, executing automatic calling to the telephone of the transmitting destination to correspond to the opponent side and transmitting the sound message of a communication result.

CONSTITUTION: When there is reception from the opponent side, sound data to show such a condition with the sound message are stored to an ROM2. Then, the telephone number of the opponent side and the telephone number of a telephone set, which requests the transmission of the sound message, are suitably registered to an RAM3. Based on the incoming from the facsimile equipment which is registered to the RAM3, the sound data in the ROM2 are read and converted to a sound signal in a sound processing part 9. After that, the data are transmitted through a communication control part 7 and a line 10 to the telephone set, which is registered to the RAM3. Thus, it can be announced that there is the incoming of the facsimile equipment in the nearest telephone set to the user in a seat, which is apart from the facsimile equipment.
