PURPOSE: To minimize the surface area by vertically stacking a telephone set and the facsimile equipment main body in the standby state.

CONSTITUTION: A telephone set 7 is mounted on the facsimile equipment main body 1 horizontally slidably. The plane view of the telephone set 7 is a rectangle which is identical to the shape of the facsimile equipment main body 1 and the upper side of the telephone set 7 is provided with a handset 8, a pushbutton 9 and a liquid crystal display device 10. The telephone set 7 is stacked on the facsimile equipment main body 1 in the reception standby state. In the case of making facsimile transmission, the telephone set 7 is moved to the left and then a prescribed operation is implemented.
