PURPOSE: To save the trouble of input to a memory by storing a result read and analyzed with a sheet for OCR in a storage device with a preservable property.

CONSTITUTION: When the memory storage of facsimile equipment is instructed by the instruction from a panel control circuit 7, for an address, communication information, etc., written on a sheet for OCR, the sheet for OCR is read by a reading circuit 6 capable of reading the sheet for OCR and the contents of the sheet for OCR are analyzed by a CPU 1 and whole analyzed data are stored in a random access memory (RAM) 1. Accordingly, the operation of a keyboard attached to the panel control circuit 7 is sufficed with the once operation. Thus, since the panel operation by manual work is eliminated and since it is sufficed with one button operation to input the contents of sheet for OCR to the memory of the facsimile equipment, operability can be improved and simplified.
